Job summary

Avensys Consulting seeks an experienced Linux Administrator to manage Linux/Unix servers across production and non-production environments. The role requires hands-on expertise with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu and related distributions, plus strong scripting, security hardening, and DR capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Linux administration experience.
• Hands-on with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu and other Linux distributions.
• Server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage user accounts, file systems, LVM, NFS, SSH, and services.
• Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and health.
• Shell scripting for automation.
• Backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability activities.
• Security hardening and OS patch management.
• DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls and networking for infra troubleshooting.
• Incident, problem, and change management in production environments.
• Coordinate with app, database and network teams; maintain docs.
