Job summary

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide leadership in delivering reliable, timely and well-informed legal guidance to the Department and the Executive Leadership Team on legal issues and strategic implications.

You will review and draft contracts, policies and regulations; provide legal opinions and research; supervise legal staff; ensure compliance with policies and laws; and support corporate transactions with risk-aware, solutions-driven advice.

Responsibilities

• Provides general legal advice support and assistance (including legal opinions and legal research) on matters related to disciplinary, contract, association, governance, risk management and contentious matters.
• Reviews and drafts various contracts and other legal documents.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant legislation and regulation.
• Supports corporate team in relation to corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiation of supporting documentation and transaction management.
• Implements legally compliant best business practices and policies to protect the organization.
• Mentors and supervises less experienced legal staff.
• Delivers process improvements to enable efficient operations.
• Manages relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments to achieve best outcomes.

Job Purpose:

Legal Advisor is to provide leadership in the delivery of reliable, accurate, timely and well-informed advice to the Department and the Executive Leadership Team on legal issues and the potential legal implications of various corporate strategies and business initiatives and projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• To performs below legal tasks in a good manner and standard, to ensure that all legal works are performed as per standard required and in line with Pandas and Pandas subsidiaries interest.
• Providing general legal advice support and assistance (including legal opinions and legal research) on various legal issues (disciplinary, contract, association, governance, risk management and contentious matters) related to the day-to-day business
• Reviewing and amending Company Policy and Regulations
• Reviewing and drafting various contracts and other legal documents
• Providing prompt and concise legal advice and specific solutions-driven support to all the Company departments
• ensuring the provision of excellent drafting, negotiating and management of contracts with customers and suppliers in a timely and effective way to deliver the best outcome for the Company
• managing one lawyer or more and/or other business affairs professionals.
• ensuring compliance with all the Company policies and procedures and relevant legislation and regulation (including, for example, anti-fraud and corruption, ethical etc.)
• supporting corporate team in relation to corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiation of supporting documentation and transaction management.
• Ensures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processes.
• Implements legally compliant best business practices and policies in order to protect the Organization from regulatory and or legal action.
• To provide mentoring and supervision to less experienced legal staff
• To develop, implement, manage, and monitor legal team quality improvement processes and practices.
• To assist on any matter and perform other duties, from time to time as required.
