Job summary

Master Works is seeking a Legal, Consultant to provide expert legal advice and support, ensuring compliance with Saudi laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes data governance and privacy within a public-sector context.

The candidate should have a Law degree, 6+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of data protection; CIPP certification is preferred. Client-site presence is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law and at least 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Legal Affairs within a public-sector entity is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi laws, regulations, and legal frameworks.
  • Experience in data management and data privacy is required; CIPP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and consultation on a wide range of matters.
  • Review, draft, and provide recommendations on contracts and legal documents.
  • Interpret laws and regulations and give guidance accordingly.
  • Monitor updates to Saudi laws and assess impact on the organization.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, memoranda, and reports.
  • Identify legal/regulatory risks and propose mitigations.
  • Support development and review of legal policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advise on data management, governance, and privacy matters.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection requirements in the Kingdom.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external counsel when needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Saudi laws and privacy requirements.

Master Works is seeking a Legal, Consultant to provide legal advice and support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong legal expertise, preferably with experience in a public-sector entity, along with knowledge of data management and data privacy requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and consultation on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Review, draft, and provide recommendations on contracts, agreements, legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Interpret applicable laws, regulations, policies, and regulatory requirements and provide legal guidance accordingly.
  • Monitor updates and changes to Saudi laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, reports, and recommendations.
  • Identify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support the development and review of legal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide legal advice on data management, data governance, and data privacy matters.
  • Advise on data protection and privacy requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom.
  • Provide legal guidance on matters related to data collection, processing, sharing, retention, and protection.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address legal matters and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors and counsel when required.
  • Support the organization in addressing legal disputes and other legal matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Saudi laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Legal Affairs or Legal Consulting.
  • Proven experience in Legal Affairs within a public-sector entity.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and legal frameworks applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Experience in data management and data privacy.
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical recommendations.
  • Arabic: Native.
  • English: Fluent.
