Job summary

Halian Group is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen legacy security and modernize with GCP in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on maintaining existing security infra while applying GCP to enhance security functions.

The ideal candidate has 8–9 years in security engineering, deep security knowledge, and hands-on GCP experience, including certification. Strong collaboration with engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 8–9 years in a Security Engineering role focused on security principles and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of core security concepts: network, OS, vulnerability management, incident response, cryptography.
• Proven experience securing legacy systems and traditional security appliances.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on security.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and mitigate vulnerabilities across legacy systems while maintaining stability.
• Design and manage security controls for legacy systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls).
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures for legacy environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents related to legacy systems.
• Provide expert-level support for legacy security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to securely integrate new technologies with legacy systems.
• Evaluate security improvements for legacy environments.
• Apply GCP knowledge to projects like integrating logs with Security Command Center and secure migrations.
