Job summary

Egis is seeking a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities to lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior engineers, develop client relations, and oversee technical documentation and BIM-enabled designs using Civil 3D.

The role requires an engineering degree, PE license, and 8+ years in Wet Utilities, with expertise in water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, and firefighting systems. Strong standards knowledge and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities with leading complex projects.
• Extensive experience in design of Wet Utilities including potable water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, firefighting.
• Working knowledge of EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD and SWMM.
• Experience and familiarity with ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Wet Utilities for various projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact for major projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules; provide status reports to senior management.
• Prepare reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
• Assist in managing Infrastructure projects and support senior engineers.
