Job summary

gevernova is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of electrical substation protection and control systems. You will organize substation tests, prepare test plans, and conduct on-site testing to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of protection panels and SAS interfaces, and proficiency in English and Arabic. You will report to project leadership and coordinate with the client for daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as Testing and Commissioning Engineer in a similar industry.
• Familiarity with Protection & Control and substations at various voltages (400/132/33/11kV).
• Strong knowledge of control panels (AVR, ABTS, ACCS, AMR) and SAS design/testing.
• Able to prepare interface CID files with SAS systems and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and managing all substation tests.
• Prepare test plans and procedures; carry out site tests for protection and control systems.
• Update testing schedule aligned with overall project schedule.
• Manage test equipment and ensure calibration certificates are valid.
• Issue and manage non-conformance reports; ensure drawings are updated for as-builts.
• Centralize and file test reports; obtain approvals from Consultant or Client.
• Coordinate with Client for daily activities and prepare commissioning reports.
