Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Public Health Engineer to lead the design and delivery of water, drainage, sewage, and related public health systems for international projects. The role includes coordinating with BIM teams, client and contractor meetings, and strict QA/QC adherence.

Ideal candidates hold a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years’ experience, Chartered status or progression toward IPA/CIBSE/NFPA, and demonstrable Middle East consultancy experience.

Qualifications

• BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards IPA, CIBSE, NFPA memberships.
• Significant ME design consultancy experience in the Middle East.
• Experience delivering projects with remote design centres.
• Broad knowledge of Local and International Codes & Regulations.
• High level of technical skill in Public Health Services & Fire Protection design.
• Strong report writing and client-facing presentation abilities.
• Proficient in BIM processes and design coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of Public Health, GAS and Fire Protection systems for international projects.
• Prepare technical markups/sketches for BIM modelling.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis in meetings with clients and contractors.
• Coordinate with Local Statutory Authorities and QA/QC processes.
• Develop design calculations and technical specifications in Master format CSI and NES.
• Manage workload and project budgets; coordinate multi-discipline workshops.
• Ensure design aligns with project objectives and market trends.
