Job summary

ENGIE Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lead Chemist to define chemistry parameters and ensure plant integrity for long-term operation. You will work with Asset Operations & Maintenance teams to align engineering policies, change control, and comprehensive environmental compliance while optimizing chemical usage.

The role emphasizes technical leadership in power plant chemistry, environmental matters, and collaboration with operations, stores, and external vendors across Saudi assets.

Responsibilities

• Providing professional guidance and advice in relation to power plant chemistry and environmental control.
• Define and maintain the operating and maintenance of parameters necessary to achieve optimum chemical conditions, both for current operation and to maintain the integrity of the plant over the longer term.
• Providing accurate and timely guidance and advice on chemical parameter deviations affecting plant process, equipment health, performance and water quality to the shift engineers.
• Train and develop operations and maintenance team on best industrial practices related to oil and water chemistry schemes, sampling, testing and analysis.
• Safe and efficient operation of the plant to deliver high levels of commercial availability within environment limits.
• Effective liaison with Plant Managers / Operation Engineers / Third Party vendors over plant chemistry issues.
