Job summary

Mace is seeking a senior planning lead for a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will drive planning across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating with the client, consultants and contractors to keep delivery aligned with milestones.

You will manage the planning team, ensure realistic schedules, and provide clear progress reports to project leadership, with a focus on safety, collaboration and sustainable delivery.

Qualifications

• A construction or engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Significant planning experience on large, complex building or mixed-use developments.
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills and knowledge of progress measurement, forecasting and schedule analysis.
• Experience leading planning teams and collaborating with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Strong communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated programmes covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Review and challenge contractor schedules, ensuring realistic sequencing and achievable milestones.
• Monitor progress, critical paths and delivery risks, helping teams develop practical recovery plans.
• Coordinate package interfaces, specialist fit-out and long-lead procurement.
• Provide clear progress reports and recommendations to the client and project leadership.
• Lead and develop the planning team, championing collaboration, safety and sustainable delivery.
