Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks a Lead MEP Engineer to act as on-site representative and oversee all MEP supervision for large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and codes while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within quality standards.

The role requires 15+ years in MEP engineering and at least 5 years in a lead role, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in MEP engineering and construction supervision.
• Minimum 5 years in a Lead MEP Engineer role on major building developments.
• Proven experience in mixed-use developments, high-rise buildings, hospitality, entertainment destinations, and theme park projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, ICT, security, and BMS systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary MEP teams within a consultancy-led site supervision environment.
• Strong understanding of international building codes, industry standards, and Saudi regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, BIM platforms, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site supervision of all MEP works including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV and specialist systems.
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project standards.
• Manage and coordinate MEP interfaces with architectural, structural, fit-out and themed attraction works.
• Review and provide technical comments on shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and design changes.
• Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks impacting cost, quality or schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Lead testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover activities.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, specialist vendors, ride suppliers and themed entertainment contractors.
• Review contractor claims, variation orders and progress reports.
• Verify completed works and provide recommendations for payment certifications.
• Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements across all MEP activities.
• Attend client, consultant and contractor meetings and provide technical leadership on project delivery matters.
• Support Resident Engineer and Project Director in managing project objectives and resolving technical challenges.

Your role

• Prior experience working with international engineering consultancy firms.
