Job summary

Hire Fellows is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our production team. You will own the reliability, safety, and performance of the facility’s equipment, with primary responsibility for refrigeration and HVAC systems critical to daily operations.

You will lead technicians and coordinate with contractors, manage the maintenance budget, and drive preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or facilities management within a food production, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment maintenance.
• Experience with refrigeration and HVAC systems is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading equipment installation and commissioning projects.
• Experience managing technicians and external contractors, with service agreements and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, and handover of equipment.
• Oversee maintenance and technician team; prioritize work.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for production, refrigeration, HVAC, and facility equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, and service histories.
• Own performance and reliability of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Ensure refrigeration and cold-storage support required food-safety standards.
• Manage maintenance budget and asset register; plan capital replacements.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement long-term improvements.
