Job summary

MAADEN in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lead Engineer, Maintenance Electrical to join the Electrical Department in Ras Al Khair. The role focuses on engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and maintenance strategies to ensure continuous operations.

• Extensive knowledge of maintenance management practices and systems.
• Proficient with Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• 10–15 years as an electrical engineer in maintenance, preferably within oil & gas/ petrochemical / mining sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Engage with AMT and attend daily DMS meetings for electrical activities.
• Maintain and implement PM, SMP, JSA, and RA for electrical systems; address deficiencies.
• Provide technical support to reports and operations personnel.

• Participate in MOH execution activities and execute MOC/projects within maintenance division.
• Oversee staff development, TRP, training needs, and budget/overtime control.

Job Purpose

Electrical engineers support operations and maintenance by providing engineering analysis, troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution activities to ensure all sites run efficiently and without interruption.

Key Accountabilities

• Compliance with Government and MAADEN Bauxite & Alumina Company (MBAC) regulations, policies and procedures regarding Health, Safety and Environment.
• Ensure effective engagement of Electrical day-to-day activities as a member of area management team (AMT) and daily DMS meetings
• Ensure all Electrical systems equipment daily activities and established maintenance strategies (PM), SMP. JSA, RA are in place. Identify all related system deficiencies and support with proper short/long term actions.
• Response to operation and maintenance activities (emergency and normal) assess the risks and ensure all tools, PPE and manpower required are provided for completing the activity
• Coach and mentor reports, identify development and training needs and together with the employee work to complete all identified needs.
• Provide specialist technical support and guidance to reports as well as operations personnel and planners.
• Provide the needed spare parts for maintenance activities and review the spare sparts inventories and adjust them based on consumption and link the spare part to the correct equipment in oracle
• Participate in MOH execution activities and execute MOC/projects which can be accomplished by maintenance work order whithin the maintenance division
• Ensure his following staff requirements attending (TRP, development, HR’s policies etc) and control allocated budget and overtime

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical or higher
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance management practices, maintenance supervision and maintenance systems.
• Proficient with computer applications, particularly Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• 10 – 15 Years as an electrical engineer in maintenance. Preferably within oil & gas/ petrochemical / mining sectors
