Job summary

Malaa Technologies in Riyadh is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own the technical direction of critical financial platforms. You will write code, but your impact comes from architecture decisions, strategy, and mentoring a team of engineers across domains.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on software development with at least 2 years in a tech lead role, strong experience building web services, APIs, and data-driven systems, plus solid CI/CD, Git, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technical lead or team lead role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid experience developing web services and APIs with strong software architecture knowledge.
• Solid experience with SQL databases and fundamentals.
• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging services (Kafka, RMQ).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Proficient with versioning tools (Git).
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams of engineers; drive high-impact outcomes.
• Ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive execution.
