Job summary

Client of OPTIMAL DIRECTION CONTRACTING COMPANY is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer for Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on day-to-day operational support, scheduling, and coordination across procurement, project execution, and management to keep milestones on track.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, have 0–1 years of internship or co-op experience, and demonstrate strong MS Office skills with basic project planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• 0-1 years of experience internship or co-op in a project-based or industrial environment is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel; familiarity with MS Project or similar scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to travel to project/client sites preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on the daily progress of ongoing projects and report status to the project operations lead.
• Prepare update and maintain project schedules and track milestones against plan.
• Coordinate with procurement to raise follow up on and close out material and vendor requests.
• Liaise between project procurement and other internal departments to keep tasks moving and resolve bottlenecks.
• Support the sales team on new potential projects and customer enquiries gathering technical information preparing initial documentation and coordinating input from procurement or other departments as needed.
• Track project documentation requests approvals deliveries and handover records.
• Support mobilization and deployment activities for awarded projects tracking key dates and flagging delays.
• Prepare progress updates trackers and simple reports for management review.
• Coordinate site visits and follow‑up calls capturing notes and action items.
• Carry out other day‑to‑day operational and coordination tasks as assigned by the project operations lead.
