Job summary

Emdad By Elm is seeking a Network Engineer to operate, maintain, and support the organization’s network infrastructure in Riyadh. You will troubleshoot connectivity issues, implement approved changes, and support network improvement projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and routing protocols like OSPF and BGP, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with CCNP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 1–3 years of practical experience in network operations or support.
• CCNP is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, and BGP.
• Understanding of DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPN technologies.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds and Wireshark.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and availability, investigate incidents, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Configure and support VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network connectivity.
• Implement network security configurations, including ACLs, in accordance with approved policies.
• Perform approved network changes and software upgrades, including implementation, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, documentation, and asset records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve connectivity issues and support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and availability, investigate incidents, and escalation complex issues when necessary.
• Configure and support VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network connectivity.
• Implement network security configurations, including access control lists (ACLs), in accordance with approved policies.
• Perform approved network changes and software upgrades, including implementation, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, technical documentation, and asset records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve connectivity issues and support project delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
