Job summary

Yallo Retail in Riyadh seeks a highly experienced Java Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of large-scale Java applications. You will mentor developers, enforce coding standards, and align with architectural guidelines to ensure secure and high‑performing solutions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong expertise in Java technologies, and proven delivery of enterprise systems within complex environments.

Qualifications

• 9–14 years of Java/J2EE development and delivery experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, J2EE technologies, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, RESTful services, microservices, Oracle Database, and SQL/PL/SQL.
• Experience designing enterprise applications using SOA architecture, REST-based integration patterns, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Strong understanding of OO design principles, design patterns, UML, application security, performance optimization, and scalability/reliability.
• Experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and messaging platforms (JMS, MQ, Kafka or equivalent).
• Strong experience in Agile and SDLC delivery methodologies, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise Java applications in alignment with solution architecture guidelines.
• Work closely with the Solution Architect to translate architectural designs into detailed technical solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making across development teams.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Lead end-to-end application development activities from design through deployment.
• Review technical designs, code, and integration approaches.
• Support the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across applications and integrations.
• Manage and mentor development teams; conduct code reviews and technical quality assessments.
