Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Riyadh is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide on-site and remote IT support for project staff. The role involves ensuring system availability, supporting hardware and software, managing user accounts, and maintaining IT security measures. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in IT or Computer Science, have strong knowledge of Windows and MS Office, and possess good communication skills in English, with Arabic as a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT support, preferably on construction, infrastructure, or PMCM projects.
  • Experience supporting project-based environments and site offices.
  • Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Overview

Job Description The IT Support Specialist will provide on-site and remote IT support in Riyadh. The role supports day-to-day IT operations, ensures system availability, and maintains secure, reliable IT services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-level IT support to PMCM project staff for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and site IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, operating systems, and project applications used on RCRC projects.
  • Support and troubleshoot network connectivity, internet, VPN access, email systems, and remote connections.
  • Manage user accounts and access rights in coordination with PMCM and RCRC IT requirements.
  • Maintain and support document control and collaboration platforms (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or similar).
  • Ensure proper functioning of site offices IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and printers.
  • Respond to IT service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with RCRC IT teams and third-party vendors for issue resolution, system integration, and approvals.
  • Implement and monitor IT security measures, including antivirus protection, data backups, and compliance with cybersecurity policies.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset registers, licenses, and support documentation.
  • Provide basic IT induction and user guidance to new PMCM staff joining the project.
