Responsibilities

• Oversee operation maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution and crop health.
• Design irrigation systems including sprinkler, drip, and subsurface irrigation networks.
• Prepare irrigation layouts, hydraulic calculations, and technical drawings.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Supervise the installation, testing and commissioning of irrigation systems.
• Conduct site surveys and assess water supply requirements.
• Ensure irrigation systems are installed according to approved designs and industry standards.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize water usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to pumps, pipelines, valves, controllers, and irrigation equipment.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Support project handover and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in operation and maintenance.
• Experience in landscape, agricultural, infrastructure, or large‑scale irrigation projects.
• Knowledge of irrigation design software and hydraulic calculations.
• Professional certifications in irrigation design or water management such as Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) are highly valued.
• Experience in agricultural environments or water resource management sectors to ensure a practical understanding of irrigation needs.
