About the Role
Role Overview

The Bid Manager for Architecture plays a key role in securing strategic opportunities across our core architectural disciplines in the Middle East. Working closely with the TU Service Line Partner, this role leads medium and large-scale bids from kick-off through to submission. The Bid Manager provides structure, direction, and accountability across the full bid lifecycle, ensuring each submission is competitive, compliant, and strategically positioned to win. The role will be central to delivering lead design consultant and integrated architecture-led multi-disciplinary opportunities.

You will manage, direct and lead multi-disciplinary teams, translate strategic intent into actionable bid plans and work closely with technical, commercial, legal, and creative leads to deliver high-quality submissions that promote a technical first approach supplemented by a complementary commercial proposal. This role demands strong leadership, commercial understanding, and the ability to drive performance under pressure.

Key Insights
  • Lead and Own Strategic Bids - Take full ownership of medium and large-scale architectural tenders. Set the direction from kick-off to submission, define structure, and drive delivery in line with governance requirements and the agreed win strategy.
  • Set and Drive Bid Strategy - Translate strategic intent into a clear, focused bid plan, coupled with shaping the structure of proposals at a deliverable-level which captures tailored narrative and positioning to strengthen competitiveness.
  • Command Stakeholder Accountability - Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams with clarity and authority. Ensure all contributors - technical, commercial, legal, and creative – deliver to scope, deadline, and quality standards.
  • Control Quality, Governance and Risk - Enforce high standards at every stage of the bid process. Manage governance gates, ensure compliance, mitigate risks early, and protect the commercial and operational position of the business.
  • Shape the Commercial Position - Work in partnership with the Commercial & Pricing Lead to align the technical offer with the financial strategy. Ensure the bid is competitive, realistic, and commercially strong.
  • Storyboarding and Content Leadership - Drive the development of clear and compelling submissions. Ensure the response structure is persuasive and reflects the delivery strategy and technical solution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as a central point between Business Development, Technical, Commercial, and Legal functions to ensure alignment across all aspects of the pursuit.
  • Continuous Improvement - Contribute to lessons learned, track bid performance, and support ongoing improvements to processes, templates, and strategy.
