Job summary

FAENA The Red Sea is seeking a Hygiene Officer to ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the property. You will conduct regular audits, monitor HACCP procedures, and coordinate microbiological testing to uphold luxury hospitality standards.

The role requires HACCP certification, 2+ years in a hygiene or food safety role, and fluency in English and Arabic. Pre-opening hygiene support and staff training are key components of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Safety, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Hygiene Officer or Food Safety role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• HACCP certification is required and knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the property.
• Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits in all food preparation and service areas.
• Monitor and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety management systems.
• Coordinate routine microbiological and water quality testing as required.
• Conduct hygiene and food safety training sessions for team members.
• Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain hygiene records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Work closely with the Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
• Support pre-opening hygiene initiatives, audits, and operational readiness activities.
