Job summary

Lucid Motors in KAEC invites a Vehicle Integration Engineer II, HV System, to join our product engineering team. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups to investigate specifications and resolve production issues, driving design for manufacturability and serviceability on the HV system.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, data-driven problem solving, and strong communication. Experience with HV systems in BEVs, CATIA/3DX, DFMEA/PFMEA, and instrumentation is valued.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience with 4+ years in EVs or HV systems; 2+ years with MS.
• Experience using vehicle/system diag tools for troubleshooting.
• Experience with HV systems in BEVs.
• Knowledge of HV Battery Packs, HV Harnesses, onboard charging units.
• Experience with end-of-line tests and robust pass/fail criteria.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer II, HV System, as part of product engineering organization in the plant. The candidate will work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive product/specification related investigations to resolution for the products in production. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for impactful results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for vehicle/system level troubleshooting using standard communication/diagnostic tools (Canalyzer/Canape, etc.)


• Solve complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques


• Data driven proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues


• Provide design for manufacturability & serviceability feedback in future product development processes


• Responsible for design intent assembly requirements of HV System, on the assembly line


• Advice on build process development and possible improvements to ensure design intent is not compromised

Skills

• Product problem-solving skills using industry-standard techniques.


• Data analysis skills using statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP, and programming/tools such as Python or MATLAB.


• Prototype build or launch event participation preferred.


• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to HV system marriage to the vehicle and associated variables of interest.


• Knowledge of instrumentation, including data collection, hardware selection, electrical/electronic signal processing, and communication hardware is a plus.


• Experience with automotive-grade adhesives, plastics, cooling systems, and metal components.


• Experience using DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP& R, DFM, and RCA with cross-functional teams.


• Strong communication and documentation skills using Atlassian products.


• Proficiency in CATIA or 3DX, stack-up analysis (2D and 3D), and GD&T.


• Collegiate FSAE, BAJA, or similar experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering; or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.


• Experience: 4+ years of experience in electric vehicles or other high-voltage systems with a BS degree; or 2+ years of automotive experience in design and release of vehicle attributes with an MS degree.


• Experience using vehicle and system-level communication or diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex multi-variable issues.


• Experience working with HV systems within BEVs.


• Knowledge of HV Battery Packs, HV Harnesses, onboard charging units, and associated troubleshooting at the system and product level.


• Experience with various types of end-of-line tests and setting robust pass/fail criteria.

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
