Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Plant NVH Engineer to support vehicle NVH quality within a manufacturing environment in Saudi Arabia. You will assist in EOL screening, data-driven analyses, and cross-functional investigations to uphold customer expectations and quality standards.

You will work with Manufacturing, Quality, Service Engineering, and Product teams to diagnose NVH concerns, develop diagnostic methods, and participate in launch readiness and data collection for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 1–3 years in automotive engineering, testing, manufacturing, or NVH work.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing engineering test data.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as microphones and accelerometers.

Responsibilities

  • Support End-of-Line NVH quality monitoring and screening processes.

Position Overview

The Plant NVH Engineer supports vehicle Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) quality activities within the manufacturing environment. This role focuses on End-of-Line (EOL) vehicle quality validation, launch support, data analysis, and production issue investigations to ensure vehicles meet customer expectations and company quality standards.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Product Engineering, and Plant NVH Technicians, the Plant NVH Engineer will assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving vehicle NVH concerns through objective testing, subjective evaluations, and data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities
End-of-Line NVH Quality Support
  • Support daily monitoring of plant NVH quality metrics and production trends.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving EOL NVH screening processes and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze production data to identify potential quality concerns and emerging trends.
  • Support validation of vehicle quality standards through objective and subjective assessments.
  • Assist with development and implementation of new diagnostic methods and test procedures.
  • Participate in root cause investigations for vehicle noise, vibration, and harshness concerns identified during manufacturing.
  • Support vehicle-level and subsystem-level testing activities.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify potential contributors to NVH issues.
  • Assist with containment activities and corrective action validation.
  • Document findings and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
Launch Support
  • Support NVH readiness activities during vehicle launches and production ramp-up.
  • Assist with validation of manufacturing processes and EOL screening systems.
  • Collect and review launch vehicle data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in pilot builds and production validation activities.
Testing & Analysis
  • Perform objective and subjective vehicle evaluations.
  • Utilize microphones, accelerometers, SCADAS systems, Squadriga systems, and other measurement equipment to collect diagnostic data.
  • Analyze vibration and acoustic measurements using approved software tools and methodologies.
  • Generate reports and summaries to support engineering investigations and decision making.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Service Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Product Engineering teams.
  • Support troubleshooting activities related to vehicle NVH performance.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Plant NVH Technicians to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving NVH quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Assist with reduction of warranty-related NVH concerns through early defect detection.
  • Participate in process improvement projects and implementation of best practices.
  • Contribute to improving diagnostic capability and test efficiency.
Skills
  • Understanding of vehicle Noise, Vibration, and Harshness fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of basic acoustic and vibration measurement techniques.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and engineering test equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and identify trends.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive engineering, testing, manufacturing, quality, or NVH-related activities.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing engineering test data.
  • Familiarity with microphones, accelerometers, vibration measurement systems, or similar test equipment.
  • Ability to conduct objective and subjective vehicle evaluations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally in support of launch and investigation activities.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive NVH, vehicle testing, manufacturing quality, or diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with SCADAS, HEAD acoustics Squadriga, Siemens Test.Lab, Artemis Suite, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting vehicle launches or manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems including body, chassis, propulsion, thermal, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to Buzz, Squeak & Rattle (BSR), airborne noise, or vibration diagnostics.
