Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting is seeking an experienced Hull Outfitting Engineer (Construction Support) with 5–10 years in marine and shipbuilding projects. The role provides technical and engineering support to shipyard production teams, reviews and updates hull outfitting drawings, and ensures design accuracy and constructability.

You will coordinate with Hull Structure, Naval Architecture, Machinery Outfitting, Piping, HVAC, Electrical and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hull outfitting engineering experience in marine/shipbuilding projects.
• Hands-on Construction Support and shipyard technical support experience.
• Experience reviewing and modifying 2D/3D hull outfitting drawings and installation details.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction and production support for hull outfitting activities.
• Review and update hull outfitting drawings, layouts, and installation details.
• Review engineering drawings and shop drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve design issues.
• Support shipyard production during fabrication, installation, and assembly.
• Resolve technical queries and installation-related production problems.
• Incorporate changes and redlines into drawings and 3D models.
• Coordinate with Hull Structure, Naval Architecture, Machinery Outfitting, Piping, HVAC, Electrical, and other disciplines.
• Verify attachments, foundations, and installation clearances against requirements.
