Job summary

Faena Red Sea in Saudi Arabia seeks a Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor to lead a team of Public Area Attendants, ensuring lobbies, restaurants, restrooms, and all common spaces are spotless and aligned with luxury standards.

You will coordinate cleaning schedules, train staff, inspect areas, manage safety, and liaise with Front Office and Engineering to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or Coordinator role.
• Experience with Forbes or 5-Diamond service standards preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with housekeeping operations, schedules, and shift planning.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Experience in handling guest requests and maintaining service standards in public spaces.
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping activities for public spaces ensuring cleanliness, organization, and presentation of guest and staff areas.
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants to ensure coverage and timely completion.
• Ensure readiness of high-traffic areas during guest arrivals, dining, and events to maintain strong first impressions.
• Provide coaching, reinforce brand standards, and guide staff on daily operations.
• Ensure proper usage, storage of equipment, chemicals, and tools with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate service assessments for outsourced maintenance in public spaces.
• Maintain inventories of cleaning equipment, consumables, and replenish as needed.
• Assign cleaning tasks and monitor staff performance.
• Inspect rooms, corridors, lobbies, and public areas for cleanliness and order.
• Conduct training on cleaning methods, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
• Manage stocking and ordering of supplies to meet budget and availability.
• Resolve guest issues related to cleanliness promptly and professionally.
• Prepare reports on departmental activities, staff performance, and resource use.
• Supervise and inspect line staff to ensure daily assignments are completed.
• Conduct quality inspections to uphold Faena cleanliness, presentation, and Forbes 5-star standards.
• Help develop training programs and onboarding of new team members.
• Monitor linen, amenities, and supplies inventory to maintain par levels and restocking.
• Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Support department compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage lost and found, deep-cleaning projects, and VIP arrival preparations.
• Respond to guest service requests and manage in-room service recovery with discretion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise all housekeeping activities related to public spaces ensuring cleanliness organization and presentation of all guest and staff-accessible areas including lobbies elevators corridors restrooms entrances driveways outlets spa areas back-of-house corridors and service elevators
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants ensuring full coverage and timely completion of assignments
• Ensure readiness of all high-traffic areas during key guest arrival dining and event periods maintaining a sharp focus on first impressions and high visibility areas
• Provide on-the-spot coaching reinforce brand standards and guide team members through daily operational requirements
• Ensure proper usage care and storage of equipment chemicals and housekeeping tools with particular emphasis on safety and efficiency
• Coordinate and supervise service assessments for outsourced maintenance contracts related to public spaces including pest control marble and wood polishing carpet upholstery shampooing facade cleaning and indoor plant care
• Maintain updated inventories of all public area-related cleaning equipment machinery and consumables flag irregularities and ensure timely replenishment
• Assigning cleaning tasks and areas to housekeeping line staff and monitoring their performance
• Inspecting rooms hallways lobbies and public areas for cleanliness and order
• Conducting training sessions and cleaning methods equipment uses and safety procedure
