Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Certified Cost Accountant / Cost Controller to lead the costing function for a healthcare complex. You will develop and maintain the healthcare costing system, monitor departmental profitability and provide management with accurate financial analysis to support decisions.

Role requires cost accounting expertise, hospital/healthcare exposure, advanced Excel and ERP skills, with cross-functional collaboration across Accounts, Purchasing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional cost-accounting qualification such as CMA / ICMA / Cost Accountant preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting / cost-control experience.
• Previous hospital/healthcare Experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, management accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory costing, departmental profitability and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a complete costing system for healthcare services.
• Calculate actual cost and profitability of medical consultations, dental, dermatology and laboratory services, and consumables.
• Analyze cost per procedure, doctor, department and service line.
• Prepare monthly cost and profitability reports for management.
• Monitor material consumption, wastage, inventory usage and purchasing costs.
• Review supplier costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Perform budget vs. actual and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Establish cost-control policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Work with Accounts, Purchasing, Inventory, Medical Departments and Management.
• Identify underperforming services and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist management in pricing decisions and evaluating new services, equipment and investments.
