Job summary

Roberts Co is seeking a Head of Finance to lead accounting, financial reporting and project cost management across our KSA business. You will oversee AP/AR, payroll, tax, month-end closes, and project reporting, reporting to the General Manager and coordinating with the parent group.

The ideal candidate is a CPA/CA/ACCA with 10–12 years in senior finance leadership within construction or engineering, and hands-on ERP experience in project environments; knowledge of Zakat and VAT in Saudi Arabia

Qualifications

• CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent with 10–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in senior finance leadership within Construction or Engineering sectors.
• Knowledge of Saudi regulatory and tax environment (Zakat, VAT, GOSI) preferred.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting cycles.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems in project-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts with variances and trends to leadership and the board.
• Own P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, including reconciliations and month/year-end close processes.
• Oversee AP/AR and Projects Ledger functions; manage cash flow and contracts, insurances, bonds/guarantees.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax reporting requirements under KSA regulations, including Zakat and VAT.
• Lead financial systems/ERP improvements, testing, and maintenance of reporting schedules and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls documentation.
• Oversee project-level cost tracking, budgeting, and P&L reporting, including subcontractor/PO allocations.
• Own board reporting and liaise with parent company stakeholders; coordinate external audits.
• Manage and develop a finance team, including accountants and finance support staff.

The Head of Finance will report to the General Manager and take overall responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, and project cost management across the business. In a newly established team with a large and growing pipeline, the role covers a broad scope of financial management activities including AP, AR, bank, payroll, tax, month-end processes, and project reporting.

As Head of Finance, you will:

• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts, reporting on variances and financial trends to senior leadership and the board
• Own P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, including reconciliations and month/year-end close processes across the business
• Oversee AP/AR and Projects Ledger functions, and manage cash flow and commercial matters (contracts, insurances, bonds/guarantees)
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax reporting requirements under KSA regulations, including Zakat and VAT
• Lead financial systems/ERP improvements, testing, and maintenance of reporting schedules and KPIs
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls documentation across the organisation
• Oversee project-level cost tracking, budgeting, and P&L reporting, including subcontractor/PO allocations
• Own board reporting, liaise directly with parent company stakeholders, and lead coordination of external audits
• Manage and develop a finance team, including accountants and finance support staff

What will make you stand out?

• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within the Construction or Engineering sectors
• Strong technical accounting expertise across AP, AR, payroll, tax, and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems in a construction or project-based environment
• Proven track record leading month-end close processes and financial reporting cycles
• Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 10-12 years' relevant experience, including prior leadership/managerial experience
• Experience operating within the Saudi Arabian regulatory and tax environment (Zakat, VAT, GOSI) strongly preferred
