Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a Pre-Contract Contract Formation Specialist to support global contracting during tendering, bid prep, contract formation and procurement stages. The role emphasizes reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and standardizing contracts to manage risk and ensure governance across client-facing and supply chain engagements.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent required; 5–8 years in EPC/engineering/construction contracting or non-legal with strong pre-contract experience and postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Strong drafting review and negotiation skills with risk allocation
• Ability to support multiple regions in a global environment

Responsibilities

• Review client contract documents during tender and pre-award stages
• Prepare contractual risk assessments, qualifications and tender positions
• Draft and negotiate pre-bid, consortium, and related agreements
• Draft and maintain supply chain contract documents including purchase orders, subcontracts and service agreements
• Ensure appropriate flow-down of client obligations into supplier and subcontractor agreements
• Support contract governance, standardization and risk management activities
• Provide contractual support to Tendering, Supply Chain, Projects, Legal and Finance teams globally
