Job summary

Alawaly Real Estate is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily journal entries, review supplier invoices, and oversee the general ledger in our ERP environment (ONYX IX and Oracle). You will ensure accuracy, prepare monthly closings, and support VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax reporting.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, SOCPA certification, and fluency in Arabic and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• SOCPA membership certificate
• Good knowledge of local financial laws and regulations
• Experience in using ERP systems
• Proficiency in Arabic and English

Responsibilities

• Record daily journal entries accurately and review supporting documents
• Manage the general ledger and post AR/AP transactions correctly
• Review supplier invoices and ensure cost centers and project allocations are accurate
• Track real estate project revenues and apply revenue recognition policies
• Prepare and close monthly bank reconciliations and resolve differences
• Contribute to monthly closing with reconciliations, provisions, depreciation, and schedules
• Prepare VAT, Zakat, and withholding tax returns with the Chief Accountant
• Prepare periodic reports on expenses, revenues and variances vs. budget
• Assist audits with evidence and closing audit observations
• Improve accounting procedures and ERP data quality; liaise with purchasing and sales teams
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
