Job summary

Accor Hotels in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team. You will maintain the general ledger, process journal entries, and support month-end close with strict adherence to hotel policies and standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel, with strong accuracy and hospitality-specific knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
  • Record and verify daily financial transactions and journal entries.
  • Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
  • Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions when required.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts and internal transfers.
  • Ensure proper recording and allocation of hotel revenues, expenses, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Support the preparation of accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjusting entries.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required schedules and supporting documents.
  • Work closely with other Finance team members and hotel departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Chief Accountant with ad hoc financial and accounting tasks.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organizedGeneral Accountantto join our Finance & Accounting team. The General Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end closing, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with hotel policies and accounting standards.
