Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Test Analyst to deliver high-quality software through rigorous Web Services Testing and REST API validation. The role focuses on validating endpoints, payloads, status codes, and security aspects across enterprise Billing & Revenue Management solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing of APIs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Hands-on experience in Web Services and API Testing.
• Experience with Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute detailed test scenarios and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of web services and APIs.
• Validate REST APIs, including endpoints, request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and error handling.
• Create and maintain reusable test suites and test data for efficient test execution.
• Identify, document, and track defects with detailed analysis and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Review application logs and service monitoring data to investigate and validate issues.
• Support release readiness activities through test reporting, quality metrics, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, security guidelines, and testing best practices.
