Reboot Monkey is seeking a Freelance Data Center Technician to provide on-demand support for global data centers. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, networking gear, and virtualization platforms, working independently with remote teams. Flexibility to travel and work outside regular hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations.
• Strong independent work capability with remote collaboration.
• Deep expertise in data center equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking gear, and hardware for optimal uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site; diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) per standards.
• Manage Linux and Windows systems; apply updates and security patches.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance; report to remote management.
• Implement security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams and vendors on projects to drive efficiency.
