Job summary

Seara International is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service and maintain food processing and packaging equipment, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and uphold GMP/HACCP and LOTO standards across the plant.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, line support, and CMMS documentation while working with utilities like steam boilers and chillers.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational certificate in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a food/beverage or FMCG manufacturing plant.
• Strong expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems and power transmission.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing and packaging equipment (mixers, slicers, extruders, ovens, fryers).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in gearboxes, pumps, valves, bearings, belts, and seals.
• Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and LOTO during repairs; use food-grade lubricants and sanitary design practices.
