Job summary

Skatch inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various machines and systems in a food-related environment.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, respond to breakdowns, and ensure safety and hygiene procedures are followed. The role requires 1–3 years of experience in a similar technical field, with strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical diploma/certificate in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, laboratory, food science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar technical role.
• Experience in food, poultry, manufacturing, maintenance, refrigeration, or laboratory environment is preferred.
• Good attention to detail.
• Basic reporting and documentation skills.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• English reading and writing skills.
• Working ability with English/ Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per schedule.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines, equipment, tools, and systems.
• Respond to urgent breakdowns and support quick equipment recovery.
• Report any defects, damages, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Operate and maintain tools, machines, laboratory equipment, refrigeration units, or electrical systems when required.
• Follow safety, food safety, hygiene, and company procedures at all times.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Record maintenance activities, test results, and technical reports when required.
• Support spare parts and materials availability by informing the supervisor of any requirements.
• Perform any other technical tasks assigned by the supervisor.
