Job summary

Guardian Glass in Saudi Arabia seeks a Hot End Manager to lead the Float Line Hot End operations, including ECS, Batch House, Furnace, Tin Bath, Lehr, Float Quality and Laboratory. You will drive safety, performance, quality, and reliability while building capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
• Proven ability to lead manufacturing operations in a continuous process.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all Hot End operations including ECS, Batch House, Furnace, Tin Bath, Lehr, Float Quality and Laboratory.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.
• Lead and develop supervisors, engineers, and operators through coaching and capability building.
• Champion operational excellence through process optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including safety, quality, throughput, yield, energy consumption, and cost.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve furnace performance, forming stability, equipment reliability, and discipline.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations and incidents.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to achieve site objectives.
• Support capital projects, technology implementation, and process upgrades.
• Participate in risk assessments (MOC, PHA, FMEA) and risk-based thinking.
• Identify opportunities for productivity, waste reduction, energy optimization, and asset effectiveness.
• Develop succession plans and build organizational capability for future needs.
• Travel may be required for training, benchmarking, startup support, vendor visits, and network participation.
