Job summary

Appen invites you to join CrowdGen as an Independent Contractor to participate in a short voice recording challenge for Arabic speech technology. You will read and record short scripted commands in Arabic using the Appen Mobile App, completing the session on your smartphone in about 1–2 hours.

Participation is project-based with remote work from home; eligibility requires native Arabic and residency in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or UAE, plus a quiet environment and stable internet.

Qualifications

• Native speaker of Arabic MSA or Arabic Gulf.
• Residing in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or UAE; CrowdGen account registered to one of these countries.
• 18 years old or above.
• Smartphone with working microphone and Appen Mobile App.
• Quiet environment with minimal background noise.
• Stable internet connection for uploading recordings.
• Ability to follow recording instructions carefully.

Responsibilities

• Read and record short scripted commands using the Appen Mobile App.
• Complete the 500-prompt recording session with quality expectations.
• Ensure recordings pass a quality review of at least 90%.
