Job summary

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector for fireproofing to perform in-process and final inspections, verify surface prep, materials, and thickness checks on site. You will coordinate with client/third-party inspectors and maintain thorough QC records.

Required are 5–8 years on similar projects and a degree in engineering; NACE/CIC certification is preferred to ensure compliance with standards and handover dossiers.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing/coating projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• NACE/coating inspection certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works.
• Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications.
• Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP.
• Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (thickness gauges) used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.
