Job summary

You will oversee monthly close, budgeting, cash flow, and cost control, and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations. The role requires 10–15 years finance experience, and CPA/ACCA/CA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years total finance/accounting experience.
• 3–5 years in a Financial Controller or senior finance leader role.
• Construction or contracting sector experience is essential.
• Qualified accountant preferred (CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent).
• Experience with project-based cost control and multi-entity reporting.
• Open to candidates of any nationality within Saudi Arabia.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Industry: Heavy civil / infrastructure contracting - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our client is a well-established contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure programs.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (head office based)

Role Purpose

Lead the financial control function for the business, ensuring accurate reporting, robust cost control, and strong financial governance across projects and business lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial close, management accounts, and reporting to senior leadership
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow across projects and business lines
• Maintain strong project-level cost control in coordination with commercial/project teams
• Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and audit requirements
• Strengthen financial controls, policies, and internal governance
• Partner with senior leadership on financial planning and business performance analysis

Requirements

• 10-15 years total finance/accounting experience
• Minimum 3-5 years in a Financial Controller (or equivalent senior finance leadership) role
• Prior experience within a construction or contracting company is essential
• Strong technical accounting background (qualified accountant preferred — CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent)
• Experience managing project-based cost control and multi-entity reporting
• Open to candidates of any nationality within Saudi Arabia
