Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee finance operations within a large-scale, multi-site retail environment in Saudi Arabia. The role requires a proactive finance professional who can streamline processes, improve reporting efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and work closely with business and operations teams to support timely decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day finance operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, cash flow, working capital and management reporting.
- Oversee audit activities and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements across finance operations, identifying bottlenecks and implementing faster, more efficient ways of working.
- Work closely with store operations and business teams to improve financial discipline, reporting and operational efficiency.
- Support ERP, automation and finance transformation initiatives to improve processes and data visibility.
- Monitor financial performance and provide management with relevant insights to support business decisions.
- Lead, develop and manage the finance team, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support the organisation through a period of growth, transformation and increased reporting and governance requirements.
Industry Background
- Experience in retail, FMCG or another large-scale, multi-site business is preferred.
- Experience working across multiple stores, branches, entities or business units will be highly valued.
Core Compentencies:
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a large retail, FMCG, multi-site, or diversified organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial controls.
- Good knowledge of Saudi Arabia's VAT, ZATCA, taxation, and applicable financial regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash flow, working capital, and cost management.
- Strong experience in account reconciliation, month-end/year-end closing, audit coordination, and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and financial applications, preferably SAP or equivalent.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong financial reporting and data analysis skills.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify trends and variances, and provide practical business recommendations.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, authority matrices, and risk management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance preferable with relevant certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, SOCPA, or equivalent is preferred.
