Fluor in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Field Superintendent - I&C to lead mechanical construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities for a major metals recycling/processing facility. You will coordinate with engineering, process, electrical and operations teams to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems, with EPC/EPCM contractor oversight.

The role requires 15+ years in mechanical construction and a minimum of 8+ years in supervision, strong leadership

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction, commissioning, or project execution within industrial facilities.
• 8+ years in a supervisory or area management role.
• Experience on large-scale Mining & Metals or heavy industrial projects.
• Knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and material handling.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead all mechanical construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities within the assigned area.
• Oversee mechanical equipment installation including crushers, shredders, conveyors, reactors, pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers.
• Coordinate with engineering, process, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for integration of mechanical systems.
• Manage EPC/EPCM contractors and subcontractors to meet specifications, quality, safety, and schedules.
• Monitor progress, productivity, manpower, and resources to achieve milestones.
• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities to meet performance requirements.
• Resolve technical and construction issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all works comply with codes, standards, procedures and HSE requirements.
• Review contractor work plans, ITPs, and progress reports; mentor engineers and field staff.

Client is looking for an Area Manager (Mechanical)

Requirements/Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction, commissioning, or project execution within industrial processing facilities.

• Minimum 8+ years in a supervisory, superintendent, or area management role.

• Proven experience on large-scale Mining & Metals, Metals Recycling, Minerals Processing, Chemical Processing, or Heavy Industrial Projects.

• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, static equipment, bulk materials handling systems, mechanical packages, and piping systems.

• Hands-on experience with construction management, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.

• Experience managing EPC/EPCM contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and related industrial standards.

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Metals recycling facilities.

• Battery recycling and black mass processing plants.

• Hydrometallurgical or pyrometallurgical processing facilities.

• Greenfield industrial processing projects.

• Large capital projects exceeding USD 500M.

• Experience in the Middle East region.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all mechanical construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities within the assigned area of the metals recycling facility.

• Manage the execution of mechanical equipment installation, including crushers, shredders, conveyors, reactors, pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and material handling systems.

• Coordinate closely with engineering, process, electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems.

• Oversee EPC/EPCM contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedules.

• Monitor construction progress, productivity, manpower utilization, and resource requirements to achieve project milestones.

• Lead mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning, functional testing, and handover activities to ensure systems meet operational performance requirements.

• Resolve technical and construction issues, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

• Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, project procedures, and HSE requirements.

• Review and approve contractor work plans, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and progress reports.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers, supervisors, and field personnel while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and execution excellence.
