Job Description

Providing technical leadership across large installations and projects, you’ll bring a strong electronic technical problem‑solving mentality and exceptional product knowledge. You’ll need to be a great communicator, happy to act and take ownership of technical challenges – and be comfortable involving the right people to get the job done.

In addition to providing leadership to junior colleagues, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing technical installations, resolving technical issues and driving customer satisfaction. That means making sure you keep up-to-date on the technical aspects of all products, acting as a champion for a specific product or range:

You’ll also be expected to:

  • Make technical contributions across design, quality assurance, manufacture, installation and commissioning, operation or maintenance of Explosive Trace Detection, X‑ray, CT or AMD products, equipment, systems, processes or services.
  • Maximise the customer’s operational performance and providing customer assistance where required
  • Assesses product/equipment performance and recommend modifications or improvements
  • Work with third parties to resolve technical issues
  • Document process and procedures and create troubleshooting job aids
  • Inform all stakeholders of technical service issues

You’ll be working with customers and colleagues across different departments including management, R&D, technical resources, and sales and marketing. This is a role that requires some travel, and may also require the ability to work outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications
  • Able to drive results, you should have an Associate degree or related experience, along with the aptitude to learn specialized software programs.
  • Your experience should include troubleshooting, field repair or technical support activities centered on electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
