Job summary

Baker Hughes invites applications for a Field Operator III - PP to operate and monitor coiled tubing equipment and nitrogen pumps at the Saudi site. You will work to keep production schedules and ensure safety and quality across equipment and operations.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in coiled tubing/nitrogen pump operations, with shift-based work being a norm. Baker Hughes emphasizes training, safety, and career development within a global energy technology

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating nitrogen pumps (≥2 years).
• Experience operating coiled tubing equipment (≥2 years).
• Experience with coil units (≥2 years).
• Experience in rig-up/rig-down of coiled tubing at wellsite.
• Ability to mix and pump fluids/chemicals/nitrogen as required.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, monitoring and operating multiple machines to ensure safety and on-time delivery.
• Performing QA activities per specifications and ISO requirements.
• Conducting safety and risk assessments and preparing preventive measures.
• Assisting in rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing equipment at the wellsite.
• Performing pre-job inspections, tests and pressure tests of equipment.
• Monitoring pump rates, tubing depth, weight and well parameters.
• Mixing and pumping fluids, chemicals, or nitrogen as required.

As a field operator you will carry out the operations on machined parts to a high degree of quality. You'll be able to work under your own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills whilst working on some innovative products.

As a field operator, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up, monitoring and operating multiple machines simultaneously to ensure safety and on-time delivery.
• Performing quality assurance activities required by manufacturing or engineering specifications and ISO requirements to ensure compliance
• Conducting safety and risk assessment and preparing preventive and proactive measures to identify potential hazards.
• Assisting in rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing equipment at the wellsite.
• Performing pre-job inspections, function tests, and pressure testing of all equipment.
• Monitoring pump rates, tubing depth, weight, and well parameters during operations.
• Mixing and pumping fluids, chemicals, or nitrogen as required for the job program.
• Preparing equipment in the base performing the required testing and maintenance needed to have it in operational status
• Adhering to operational and safety processes and procedures

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a minimum of a high school diploma
• Have experience with operating nitrogen pumps for a minimum of 2 years is preferred
• Have experience with operating coiled tubing equipment for a minimum of 2 years
• Have experience with coil units for a minimum of 2 years
• Have experience in rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing equipment at the wellsite.
• Have experience mixing and pumping fluids, chemicals, or nitrogen as required for the job program is preferred
• Be able to operate coiled tubing unit, injector head, reel, control console, and pressure control equipment (BOP, stripper, lubricator).
• Be able to learn from mistake, hardworking, able to work in shift under pressure.
• Be able to raise maintenance request for any major equipment breakdown
