Job description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, Commissioning, refurbishment, Startup, Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Upgrading of synchronous and induction machines and excitation & AVR systems.
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customers' sites.
  • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets, and expense sheets on a complete, timely, and thorough basis.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
  • Maintain a strong safety mindset to ensure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and as a reference for future outages.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or Associate\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 7 additional years of related industry experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of rotating machines field experience.
  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license.
  • Ability and willingness to work remotely, as required.
