Job summary

Client of Teach East seeks a Director of Performing Arts to lead creative and operational direction of its programmes in the Saudi Arabian context, shaping high-quality productions and community engagement. You will guide strategic planning, production excellence and talent development across theatre, dance and music.

The role requires proven leadership, budget stewardship and strong relationships with partners, educators and cultural institutions, driving inclusive growth and a vibrant arts

Qualifications

• 8+ years in artistic leadership or senior programming roles.
• Proven track record of producing high-quality work.
• Strong financial management of departmental budgets.
• Experience with multis disciplinary teams.
• English communication; Arabic desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement artistic vision and annual programme for theatre, dance and music.
• Oversee planning, production and delivery of performances, festivals and events.
• Manage budgets for the performing arts department, forecasting and expenditure.
• Recruit, develop and mentor artistic teams including directors and performers.
• Forge and maintain partnerships with local and international artists and institutions.
• Lead outreach to broaden participation and increase audience diversity.
• Ensure health, safety, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Develop fundraising initiatives, sponsorships and grants.
• Represent the organisation at events, conferences, and media appearances.
