Job summary

Client of Salt is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers and technical leads to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI applications for enterprise customers in Saudi Arabia. You will directly engage with clients, write code, and shepherd solutions from discovery through production deployment.

You will design AI-powered solutions using GenAI, build PoCs, and integrate with enterprise systems while leading technical direction for the team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience in AI startup or enterprise AI platform environment.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure and containerization.
• CI/CD and production monitoring experience.
• Experience delivering solutions for regulated enterprises (finance/government).

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into practical AI-powered solutions.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions and design solution architectures.
• Collaborate with sales, product and engineering to validate customer use cases.
• Design, develop and integrate AI applications including GenAI solutions and AI agents.
• Build proofs of concept, prototypes and production-grade software.
• Develop APIs, integrations, orchestration workflows for customer solutions.
• Work with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation and AI development frameworks.
• Integrate AI applications with existing enterprise systems and processes.
• Take ownership of deployments from discovery to production.
• Provide technical leadership and review architectures during engagements.
