Job summary

Mozn is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dedicated team building and scaling Focal, with emphasis on innovation, reliability and delivering impactful solutions for customers.

The role requires a BS/MS in computer science, 10 years of software engineering, and proven team leadership. Strong communication, multi-language expertise, and deep understanding of system design are essential. Expect a dynamic, growth-focused environment in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• BS/MS from a top school in Computer Science or any related field.
• 10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or large-scale distributed applications.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to convey technical solutions to the end-user and the engineering team.
• Ability to briefly explain sophisticated issues in systems and processes.
• Solid experience of multiple programming languages with a demonstrated drive to learn and progress in the technical skill and nuanced art of development.
• Proficient understanding of system design and distributed computing principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of the Scrum agile framework and other software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop and maintain product features.
• Ensure the code and design quality are against the industry’s best practices and highest standards.
• Coach and mentor team members on high-level design, architecture, effort sizing, and testing practices.
• Give engineers feedback on their day-to-day job performance.
• Steer the engineers’ individual learning and development plans.
• Initiate hiring and the allocation of any resources needed to support the team.
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments.
• Oversee the implementation of the software development process.
