Job summary

alfanar is seeking a skilled Cost Controller / Project Controls professional in Riyadh to manage cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for civil projects. You will collaborate with procurement, planning, and finance to monitor costs, track variances, and drive cost-saving opportunities, ensuring compliance with standards and timely delivery.

This role requires a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and hands-on experience in cost management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Any relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update project cost control sheets, cost codes, and budget tracking registers.
  • Monitor commitments, actual costs, accruals, and forecasted costs versus the approved project budget.
  • Identify cost variances, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports, cash-flow updates, cost-to-complete forecasts, and estimate-at-completion dashboards.
  • Support monthly project performance reviews with budget status, risks, savings opportunities, and cost trends.
  • Coordinate with planning teams to align cost forecasts with the project schedule and progress data.
  • Track subcontractor and supplier commitments, invoices, payment certificates, and change impacts.
  • Coordinate with procurement, contracts, QS, and finance teams to verify cost allocation and payment status.
  • Support evaluation of variation orders, claims, and cost impacts before approval.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures while maintaining quality.

Functional Responsibilities

Budget Control & Cost Monitoring

  • Prepare, maintain, and update project cost control sheets, cost codes, and budget tracking registers.
  • Monitor commitments, actual costs, accruals, and forecasted costs against the approved project budget.
