Job summary

Petrolube Oil Company is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to schedule and execute maintenance of instrumentation and electrical control systems. You will oversee in-house calibration of instruments and diagnose line-related instrument issues to support production, including filling and blending.

You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot critical electrical problems, and lead projects to reduce downtime and improve equipment availability in a safe,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance/instrumentation.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.

Job description

Responsible for scheduling and execution the maintenance of instrumentation / Electrical control system, In-house calibration of Instruments, filling Lines problem diagnosis related to instruments and provides maintenance support in the production (i.e. Filling, Blending etc.).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

HSE & Compliance

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures during all maintenance activities
• Ensure legal compliance in maintenance practices, contractor management, and documentation

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Plan Preventive maintenance of Instruments to ensure their reliability and accuracy.
• Execution of monthly PM schedules with minimum downtime.
• Oversee predictive techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)

Corrective Maintenance

• Troubleshoot critical electrical problems or fix breakdowns in the plant equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Focusing on the 6 big losses and Top 5 downtime reduction for improving the OEE through improving the availability and performance.

Strategic & Long-Term Projects

• Provide technical electrical support to the maintenance department in the project’s assignment by management.
• Initiate projects to improve machine control systems to reduce downtime of machines.
• Modify equipment as needed to improve the capacity, quality and safe operation.

Utilities & Calibration Management

• Prepare annual Calibration plan of plant instruments in the QA format, record keeping and responsible for audit.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

People Management

• Train production team members for the precise operation of blending and filling equipment.

Sustainability

• Drives sustainable maintenance practices by optimizing energy usage, reducing emissions from assets, and collaborating on ESG compliance reporting.

MENTAL DEMANDS

The most important part of the job is to ensure the equipment availability for continued production.

The most Difficult/Complex Part of Job is to avoid equipment breakdowns with available resources and limitation of spare parts.

The creativity required in the job is to predict any breakdown before it occurs and fix it without interrupting the production within the available resources. Modify equipment for long life and optimum performance.

Education: Diploma in Electrical.

Experience: 5 Years of experience in the related field.
