Job summary

Al Watania Agriculture Company seeks an experienced high voltage technician to inspect, maintain and troubleshoot HV equipment and networks. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspect switchgear and transformers, and diagnose faults using electrical drawings and test instruments.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Technology or Electrical Power with at least 3 years of HV experience, plus training in electrical safety, isolation and switching.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Technology or Electrical Power or a relevant vocational qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining high voltage equipment and networks.
• Relevant training in electrical safety, isolation and switching for the assigned scope.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot high voltage equipment and networks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high voltage equipment and networks.
• Inspect switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers and cables, and report abnormalities.
• Diagnose faults using electrical drawings and suitable test instruments.
• Perform switching, isolation and earthing within authorized duties and approved operating procedures.
• Verify absence of voltage and secure the work area before maintenance under approved procedures.
• Maintain and replace defective components after completing isolation and safety controls.
• Assist with cable installation, terminations and joints within assigned competence and specialist supervision.
• Support insulation, protection and commissioning tests under the approved test plan.
• Record maintenance activities, inspection results and spare parts used.

Roles and responsibilities
