Overview

A fantastic opportunity offered by our client, one of the leading MEP specialist construction companies, for the position of Electrical Project Engineer.

The successful candidate must ensure the accurate engineering and execution of all electrical equipment/works executed in projects as per the design specifications and engineering standards and at minimum cost and in accordance with QA/QC and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collection and dissemination of pertinent information of the project(s).
• Technical specification review and resolution.
• Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with external suppliers.
• Ensure close collaboration with Procurement and Quality departments to present quotations in a timely professional and thorough manner.
• To ensure installation is done in a productive manner in-line with standard QA and HSE procedures.
• Perform work which involves conventional methods and types of plans, investigations, surveys, structure or equipment with relatively few complex features.
• Ensure necessary competence level to achieve project targets.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning and Quality departments.
• Assists in the preparation or modifications of reports, specifications, plan, construction schedules and design for projects.
• Maintain records of project progress in-line with project report requirements and company procedures.

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in the MEP Building Services Industry with advanced knowledge, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education.
• Strong AutoCAD experience highly desirable.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the Mechanical Building Services Industry.
