Job summary

CLEAR Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Site Electrical Engineer to lead on-site electrical activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, codes, and schedules. You will coordinate with consultants, contractors and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality electrical works.

The role emphasizes supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover with strong focus on site QA/QC and documentation. A senior engineer with broad project exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level electrical engineering degree required.
• At least 10 years of on-site supervision experience for construction projects.
• Experience across commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure sites preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, grounding, and codes.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Electrical Engineer to oversee and supervise all electrical construction activities on-site. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all electrical installation works on-site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, architectural, mechanical, and other project disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of electrical installations and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of electrical works according to project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, international codes, and health and safety requirements.
• Prepare and review inspection requests (IRs), testing reports, snag lists, and punch lists.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support, progress reports, and recommendations.
• Review as-built drawings and verify completed electrical installations before project handover.
• Assist in evaluating technical variations, change orders, and site modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, testing results, and site activities.
• Support the successful testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical site supervision for construction projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting systems, low-current systems, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Professional engineering registration or relevant accreditation is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to review electrical drawings, calculations, and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning, QA/QC procedures, and inspection processes.
• Experience with project management software is an advantage.
